Is it TV or is it Web? It’s a fusion called Google TV

Hopefully this caption does not sounds funny Nothing was coming to our mind so we wrote this caption. So now we will come to the point and that is Internet giant Google’s new service Google TV, now your TV will not be anymore just an idiot box. Now its coming out of the box and will become an entertainer, an information source and much more. So in short it is a complete package what one wants. Google TV is combination of TV and web, Imagine turning on the TV and getting all the channels and shows you normally watch and all of the websites you browse all day long including your favorite video, music and photo sites.

So why Google gave a thought about this service, because 4 billion people across the world watch TV and the average American spends five hours per day in front of one(Source: Nielsen, Three Screen Report, Fourth Quarter 2009), and more of entertainment is coming from phone and internet, so your web has something that TV lacks. TV has some great features and high quality experience that web lacks.
So Google is going to introduce their new service that will provide new experience for television that combines the TV that you already know with the freedom and power of the Internet. It has Google Chrome browser built in that will provide seamless access to your favorite websites and easy switching between TV and web. This all sound fascinating, now TV will not be only showing videos, it can be a photo viewer, gaming console, a music player and much more.
Google TV will provide an option to search TV programs, channels, websites, apps and movies. Like if you already know name of the program you want to watch, just type in the name and there you’re or if u want to watch some video, use search and watch the video on a Big HD screen. You just need to know what you want then just type in and Google TV will help you to find on web or in the list of TV channels.
So all these features are just a small part of what Google TV can do.
Now the point is feasibility of the service in the areas where proper broadband service is not available, because it seems providing all these features will require much more bandwidth and new hardware also. So just wait and watch, what is going to come on the way.
